How to Set Up Your TAP System on the IOTV
Alright—when you get your TAP system, the first thing to look for is these two straps and two buckles.
Not every TAP has them, but they should—that’s what you’re going to need to attach it properly.
Start by opening up the shoulder flap on your IOTV.
Slide the strap through—this is the cleaner way to do it.
Once it’s in, buckle it back down. That’s one side done.
Now when you attach your TAP, it’s going to line up clean.
As for the other clips (which I can’t find right now), here’s how they work:
Find the spot where the strap is sewn in—that’s your anchor point.
Feed the first buckle through the outer webbing.
Then straddle that MOLLE strip and run the second clip through the next slot.
It’s a tight fit, but once you get both sides in, it locks in solid.
Now clip this side of the TAP here, the other side there—do the same thing on both shoulders—and you’re set up and secure.
That’s how you rig your TAP system to your IOTV.
Hope it helps.
